Somaliland sun: The attack yesterday by Al Shabab on the Ministry of Education and Culture in Mogadishu demonstrated their continued brutality and their determination to undermine the development of the country and the future hopes of the Somali people.
The EU Heads of Mission express their deepest condolences to the families of the victims, and pay tribute to the efforts of AMISOM and the Somali security forces in responding swiftly to the attack at the cost of a number of their lives.
The EU is a firm believer in the power of education to transform countries and societies for the better. We support its role in building a more stable, peaceful and developed Somalia. The EU reaffirms its commitment to stand by the Somali and regional authorities in bringing peace and development to the people of the country.
