Somalilandsun- Three suspected pirates have been arrested off the coast of Somalia by the Belgian navy frigate Louise-Marie, participating in the European operation Atalanta against piracy in Somalia. The boarding team of the Louise-Marie was deployed to arrest the suspected pirates.
The skiff, which was taken on board the frigate, carried several canisters of fuel, a ladder and a grappling hook, but no weapon were found.
“The skiff is very likely part of the group of pirates who tried to attack a merchant ship late last month,” the Defense Ministry said in a statement.
