Somalilandsun – As global humanitarian needs are set to reach a historic high in 2016, the European Commission is stepping up its humanitarian budget to record levels With nearly €1.1
billion as an initial allocation making it the highest EU humanitarian budget for life-saving relief in manmade and natural disasters to date.
At the same time the European body has announced a total of 16 actions new decisions to manage migration better and address the root causes of irregular migration and forced displacement worth almost €300million to address the root causes of irregular migration.
