HARGEISA (Somalilandsun) – The national consultation and rectification forum leaders have urged the ruling party Kulmiye to stop interfering in the parliamentary and judicial processes they were speaking during a press conference held at their headquarters in Hargeisa.
The politician Mr. Mohammed Hashi Elmi accused the government for manipulating the legistlature and judiciary. Mr. Hashi also accused the Upper House of Parliament, GUURTI, Chairman Hon. Suleiman Mohamud Aden for tribal leaning in his bid to mediate in the Kulmiye party affairs. The (NCRF) spokesperson Ibrahim Degaweine claimed that by allowing the Turkish ambassador to Somalia to open a consulate in Hargeisa the government was being subjective to the one in Mogadishu. He went on to say that by doing so hence accepting insurbodinance was directly jeopardizing the hard won independence of Somaliland.
Mr. Degaweine accused the Kulmiye party for betraying the trust bestowed upon them by the electorate. Former vice-president and freedom fighter Mr. Hassan Issa told the government to listen to her citizens and reiterated that their consultative conference was going to take place as earlier planned.
The forum’s chairman Mr. Hassan Gure said that the recent denial of access to the V.I.P lounge of Egal International airport to opposition leaders of party of Justice and Development (UCID) chairman Hon. Faisal Ali-warabe and Mr. Jamal Ali Hussein as a ploy to undermine opponents
