| Somaliland: Back Around The Table With Somalia |

Somaliland's Foreign Affairs Minister, Dr. Mohammed Abdulahi Omar has told journalists that the stalled talks between the new administration of Somalia and Somaliland officials will resume soon. Dr. Omer said the talks would be a follow-up of the earlier talks in London and United Arab Emirates. A similar statement was made by Somalia's Prime Minister, Ali Farah Shirdon, a day earlier. Prime Minister Shirdon told reporters that the talks would resume "soon" and expressed his hopes that they would be fruitful. The talks halted because of the ending of the transitional process in Somalia and the elections of a new Parliament and a new President, as well as a new administration, last year. |

While the government of Somalia is developing the nation, reviving ties & contracts with various nations.
Meanwhile this guy sits in his hargeisa hotel and rants on hargeisa TV talking 1 moment about talks coming soon & another moment the talks is about "separation".
Lol he thinks the people in the triangle are fools.
And you know what? I agree. You are fools, he is basically living off on the taxed people's money, and not doing anything meaningful. lol fire this guy.
Somaliland and Somalia's unity will be beautiful!
The union between the two states didn t work .
Soon and later , somaliland will be a new country.
the idea of the grand somali (included land in ethiopia, kenya and djibouti) is a treat to the regional countries
Govt led by DR AMM Silaanyo have already done their parts of the talks with Somalia through London,Turkey,D ubai,
and now waiting for Somalia and the IC to come up with the next round time table arrangements for the continuation of further talks between Somaliland and Somalia supervised by the IC/UN already in the talks. It should be noted that there was a power change in Somalia caused delaying the talks. Somaliland is well prepared and there should no concerns for panicking.
Cheers.
lol u sound like a deranged darod faqash, u need to understand that darood will be driven into the sea and real somalis will live happily ever after
I agree with you. remember before these countries decided to help Somaliland saperately, most of the aid used to be channeled through the previous Somalia transitional govts. There was hadly any aid coming to Somaliland. By exchanging too many hands, the aid assistance that was reaching Somaliland was very tiny. Somaliland survived then. So even if the USA changes its dual track policy it will not halt Somaliland's march to statehood. No country can indirectly try to effect the Somaliland peoples' right to slef-determination.
In fact, since I can remeber there has never been a time when people were more resolute and determine to go alone.
It has always been the case that Somalilanders are at their best when they sense their aspirations are being threatened. Peoples' unity is coming back and we are stronger as ever.
Dr Gaboose and the Umadda Party have decided to join the Wadani Party to help their country instead of undermining it unlike the man who has fallen from grace - the Haqsoor leader. He does not even know the time and teh stage he is at!
All in all, as long as we continue to be united we will see our aspirations met.
difficult issues, each of which has their
point of views??? Both Hargeisa and Mogadiscio have to sort out their differences through peaceful pragmatic open talks. Tough hard talks! Go it big boy???
Cheers.
Cheers.
